Citation Corpus Sprint · 14 Days · $2,497

Your competitor shows up in ChatGPT. You don't. We fix that in 14 days. You don't lift a finger.

Right now, when a buyer asks ChatGPT or Google's AI for "best [your service] in [your area]," they get a list. Your name isn't on it. Your competitor's is. That's the difference between a phone that rings and a phone that doesn't. The Sprint puts you on that list. We do the work — your only job is to approve what we write before we push it live.

Flat fee · We deploy everything to your site · 14-day delivery deadline backed by cash refund

"I asked ChatGPT for the best HVAC contractor in my city. My company wasn't on the list. My biggest competitor was — twice." — every owner who's actually tested it. That's the gap. The fix isn't more SEO. It's getting your business named in the articles, listicles, and directories that AI engines read when a buyer types the question. We treat that as a 14-day job and a flat fee — not a six-month retainer.

The thing that's actually broken

Most agencies sell you "schema markup" and "AEO optimization" — code-level tweaks to your website. Those help, but they don't make ChatGPT mention you. Being named in third-party articles does. AI engines learn who you are by reading the same articles, listicles, podcast notes, and review sites your customers read. If your name isn't in those places, the AI has nothing to cite when someone asks for the best in your category.

The average small business owner we audit scores 25 out of 100 on third-party visibility. Nothing in the places AI looks = nothing for AI to recommend. Most playbooks say "fix your schema, wait six months." The Sprint compresses that into 14 days by doing the article-placement work directly.

The 14-day sprint

Days 1–2

Measure

We test your business against the questions your real buyers ask AI: "best [service] near me," "[service] vs [service]," "who's the best [service] in [city]." We log every answer ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI gives. You see exactly where you show up and where you don't.

Days 3–7

Rewrite & deploy

We rewrite your top 10 pages so AI engines can quote them cleanly. Then we push the changes to your live site after you approve. We also fix the technical bits behind the scenes — the things that signal AI you're a real, trusted business. You review. We deploy. No homework.

Days 8–12

Pitch

We write 8–12 personalized pitches to editors at sites that publish "best [your category]" articles, send them from a real inbox, and track who replies. We also draft the Reddit answers, podcast outreach, and Show HN post. You don't write or send anything. If a reply lands, you tell us yes or no and we handle the rest.

Days 13–14

Report

We re-test the same buyer questions and show you exactly what changed. We also schedule a Day-30 and Day-60 retest at no extra charge — because AI engines take 30 to 60 days to re-read your site after we update it. We're honest with you on Day 14 about what's likely to happen.

What you get

  • A real measurement of your AI visibility — before, during, and after. You see exactly which buyer questions you show up for and which ones you don't, with screenshots.
  • Your top 10 pages rewritten and deployed to your live site — we write the content, you approve, we push live. No "paste this into WordPress" homework. Your site sounds like you, only sharper.
  • The technical AI-trust fixes deployed for you — schema markup, founder bio markup, robots.txt updated for the AI crawlers (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI). We deploy. You approve. Done.
  • Microsoft Bing's AI Performance dashboard set up on your site — Microsoft built a free tool in February that shows when AI engines mention you. We set it up, hook it to your site, and capture four snapshots over 60 days so you can watch the dial move.
  • 8–12 personalized pitches to article editors, sent on your behalf — we find the editors writing "best of" lists in your category, write a tailored pitch for each, send from a warmed inbox, track every reply. You see acceptance, rejection, silence — no theatre.
  • 5–10 cross-channel mentions seeded — podcast and journalist outreach, plus quality Reddit answers in the threads your buyers actually read.
  • A Show HN / news-site post draft, ready to publish — copy yours to use whenever it makes sense.
  • Day-30 and Day-60 retest reports, automated — we re-run the same measurement at 30 and 60 days. You get a comparison PDF showing the direction over time. No additional charge.

14-day delivery deadline backed by cash. If we don't ship every artifact above within 14 days of your intake form, we refund you in full. AI engines decide who they cite — no honest vendor can promise specific citations. The cash-back covers the work we promised, on the timeline we promised.

"How do you know this works?"

Fair question. Every claim above is tied to a real study or a Microsoft tool — not vendor sales talk. If you want to see the math, click below. If you trust us already, skip it — you don't need any of it to know whether the Sprint is right for your business.

📊 The receipts — every claim sourced
  • Front-loaded content rewrites work — 44.2% of AI citations come from the first 30% of a page; "X is Y" definitions get 2× citation rate (ALM Corp, 1.2M-response study)
  • Cross-domain mentions are the lever — r=0.71 correlation between citation frequency and unique mentioning domains; raw traffic r=0.02 (Brandlight, millions of citations analyzed)
  • Listicles get cited disproportionately — listicle pages are over-represented in AI search citations relative to reviews and how-tos. Tier-1 "best of" articles consistently surface in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini answers for category queries (Semrush AI search study)
  • Referring domains correlate with AI mentions — Authority Score Pearson r=0.65 with AI mentions across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini (Semrush, 1,000-domain study)
  • Microsoft now publishes a first-party citation log — free, public preview since Feb 2026 (Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance)

How the measurement works: 60 buyer-intent questions × 5 AI engines × 3 runs each = 900 measurement events per snapshot. Three runs per question is the minimum to filter out AI engines' run-to-run drift (Perplexity especially). Engines covered: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overviews. Per query we log: source attribution, brand citation yes/no, citation position, exact quote. Snapshots: Day 1 baseline, Day 14, Day 30, Day 60.

What we promise — and what we don't

What we promise (cash-backed):

  • All 8 deliverables shipped in 14 calendar days from intake submission
  • Full retest panel at Day 14, Day 30, and Day 60
  • Refund in full if we miss the day-14 deadline

What we don't promise:

  • Specific listicle inclusions (editors decide on 2-12 week cycles)
  • Specific Wikipedia citations sticking (Wikipedia editors revert what they consider promotional)
  • Citation count increase by Day 14 (AI engines re-index over 30-90 days)
  • "Default answer" status by any specific date (depends on AI training cycles outside our control)

Editor decisions and AI provider citation choices aren't ours to control. We ship the artifacts the strongest available evidence ties to citation lift, plus a measurement system that lets you see lift if and when it lands. If you want a guarantee about ChatGPT specifically picking your brand, no honest seller can offer that — not us, not anyone.

We're running this on ourselves — in public

The most honest thing we can show you is what happens when we run this Sprint on our own business. So we are. Here's the before, here's the during. The Day-30 retest is scheduled for June 7 and the result will be public no matter how it goes.

Before — April 29, 2026
We asked ChatGPT: "what are the best AEO audit services?"
ChatGPT named 6 companies. Cited Digital — our own business — was not on the list.
We were also in 0 of ~130 "best of" listicle slots ranked for our category in Google.
Score on our own diagnostic: 25 of 100. Same as the average small business we audit.
After 7 days of our own Sprint — May 6, 2026
We re-ran the same buyer questions. Now ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude name us back —
across 3 of 4 buyer-question categories we tested:

✓ "best AEO audit services for businesses" — cited
✓ "AEO services in the US" — cited
✓ "AEO firms with measurable outcomes" — cited
✗ "tools that score how often businesses get cited" not cited yet (next on our list)

That's the lift, mid-Sprint. Day-30 retest fires automatically June 7.

All measurement raw data and the full methodology are archived publicly. We'll post Day-30 numbers regardless of direction.

Who this is for

Probably not for: enterprise companies with their own marketing teams, agencies looking for a "manifest" they apply themselves, or anyone whose website lives behind a login wall we can't access. The Sprint is for owners who want the work done, not a checklist.

Common questions

What if I'm in a niche where there are no AEO listicles?

The "AEO listicle" framing is the AEO-vendor-specific case. For other niches (HVAC, roofing, dental, DTC ecommerce, etc.) the corpus is different — local-business directories, industry trade publications, "best [niche] companies" listicles, and Reddit/forum threads in that vertical. The diagnostic identifies what corpus matters for your specific business. The 8–12 targets we pitch are calibrated to where your buyer actually looks.

What if no editor accepts my pitch?

That's the variable nobody controls. Editors decline, ignore, or accept on their own timeline. What we do control: the quality and volume of pitches. The Sprint ships 8–12 personalized pitches, each researched against the editor's actual content and your verified differentiator. Our internal benchmarks are a 15–25% reply rate and 30–50% inclusion rate per reply, but we don't sell those numbers because corpus outcomes have too many moving parts. If the day-30 re-test shows nothing moved, we'll talk — extension, partial refund case-by-case, or a discounted second Sprint. We don't take your money and walk away.

Why $2,497? That's more than the Fix Pack.

The Fix Pack ($1,997) is implementation labor — applying schema and content fixes we already identified. The Sprint is corpus labor — research, outreach, editor management, multiple iterations of pitch and follow-up. It's higher-touch and longer-running. The pricing reflects that. If your bottleneck is on-page work, buy the Fix Pack. If it's corpus presence (you already have schema and aren't getting cited), buy the Sprint.

Can I see the methodology before buying?

Email contact@citeddigital.co and ask for the Sprint SOP. We'll send the full operator playbook (the same one we use internally) — research queries, pitch templates, submission paths, time budgets. Cost to run yourself: 80–100 hours of operator time and competent outreach copy. Most owners would rather pay $2,497 to skip that, which is why the Sprint exists.

Do you guarantee ChatGPT will start citing me?

No, and we don't promise listicle inclusion either — both depend on third parties (corpus refresh cycles, editor decisions, your business's own newsworthiness). Anyone who promises you guaranteed AI citation is either lying or pricing in the refunds. What we do guarantee: the six deliverables ship in 14 days, or we owe you cash. Day-30 re-test gives you a real number for what shifted. ChatGPT/Perplexity/Google AI Overview citation tends to follow within 1–3 months of corpus presence, but the timing isn't ours to promise.

Is this a subscription?

No. Flat fee, one-time. If you want ongoing monitoring + incremental corpus work after the Sprint, the $297/mo Watch & Update retainer is available as an add-on. Most clients run the Sprint once, see the lift, and add the retainer.
